Anju Shahani is from Mumbai, India. She has one younger sister and received her initial education at a Catholic school. She studied Business at university where she met her husband.
After getting married, the young couple moved to Hong Kong where her husband had business interests.
While still based in Hong Kong, her husband set up a business in Russia in 1995, and in 2002 the whole family moved to Moscow.
She has had successful fashion businesses here focusing on Indian fashions and has the distinction of introducing the sari concept to Russia at a star level.
Anju also runs four laughter-yoga workshops a week at different clubs which give people therapy through laughter.
