Jeff Owings is from Wichita, Kansas. His early schooling was at a Christian non-denominational school, where he generally did well.
He went on to study (and got a double-major in) History and Communications at the University of Kansas. University made Jeff more liberal in his worldview.
After university he worked for some time for JP Morgan, but the time he quit coincided with the crisis in September 2008 which made finding a new position difficult.
He retrained as a teacher in English Literature and History and came out to Moscow in 2009 to work for a private school here, which he enjoys.
