Jennifer Eremeeva is from Massachusetts. She grew up in a small town and attended the small independent school run by her father, a dedicated educator.
After ninth grade, Jennifer boarded for three years where she began to take an interest in things Russian. She read Russian Area Studies at Columbia College, New York City. Perestroika was then just taking off, and it was clear that interesting days were ahead for Russia.
Jennifer came out here soon after finishing college and has been permanently resident since 1992. She met a Russian Red Army officer, and when he left the Army they moved in together and later married. They have a 14-year-old daughter together.
Jennifer writes two successful blogs, one on the funnier side in Russia and another on Russian cuisine.
