Bart Dorsa is from Silicon Valley, California. His mother was a Country and Western singer and his father makes wine. Bart studied Philosophy at university.
His chequered and varied career since includes making movies in Hollywood, playing in a band, working with Franciscan nuns in Vietnam, serving beer in Iceland and attempting to marry identical twins in Istanbul.
The next logical step was a move to Moscow where he works as a visual artist and splits his time been Russia and California.
