tania-teschkeTania Teschke was born in California to German parents and grew up on both coasts of the US. She also spent  regular time in Germany and speaks fluent German.

She completed her school education in Connecticut and read Russian Studies, which she loved, at Brown University, and in her junior year she came to Moscow for the first time back in 1991. After college, she found a job with USAID in Kazakhstan, where she also worked as a freelance journalist and radio disc jockey.

While attending graduate school in the US, she met her husband, a diplomat now in his second posting here in Moscow. They have two children.

Tania has now spent spent a total of six years in Russia. She has a deep interest in capturing Russia on film, and her work can be viewed at  www.taniateschke.com
