Steve Wilson hails from Harrogate in Yorkshire, England. He enjoyed school and, on leaving, he wanted to work with people and not be stuck in an office all day. After consulting with his father and others, he opted to train as a chartered surveyor and his entire working career has been in real estate, which he loves.
He left England in 1984 for South Africa, where he lived for nine years. At forty, he decided to take a gap year and drove round Africa in a Land Rover, pitching up in Kenya where he worked on the local real estate market and enjoyed a good lifestyle there for a further nine years.
He decided he wanted to broaden his horizons further, and was headhunted to work in Moscow where he has been living and working since 2001.
