hugo-chittendenHugo Chittenden is from the UK. His father is English, his mother is French. He speaks both languages fluently. He was educated at boarding schools where he particularly liked sports. He read Modern Languages at Trinity College, Dublin finishing with a Masters in Spanish.

After university, he worked in bars and hotels before going out to Australia to work in wine. He then worked in Costa Rica in property development for some years. He then made a series of documentary films in Africa about volunteering and charity work. His first film was set in Kibera slum Nairobi where he renovated a medical clinic and assisted a charity caring for orphans.

He then moved on to further documentaries in Uganda, Haiti and the Philippines.
